His work bridges public service, academic rigor, and applied technology, supporting the design of secure, resilient, and trustworthy digital and critical-infrastructure ecosystems worldwide.
Emir specializes in the cybersecurity and digital resilience of energy terminals and critical infrastructure, particularly in environments where IT systems, OT systems, and physical operations intersect. His work focuses on realistic threat exposure in operational settings—where cyber risk translates directly into financial loss, operational disruption, or regulatory failure.
His expertise includes:
Cyber risk assessment of the energy industry
Analysis of IT/OT convergence, including SCADA, PLCs, metering systems, and terminal automation
Identification of vulnerabilities in custody transfer, measurement, and reporting systems
Design of cybersecurity frameworks aligned with operational realities, not abstract IT theory
Support for regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and incident prevention
In the energy environments, Emir’s analysis focuses on how data flows, how systems interact, and where manipulation, fraud, or disruption can realistically occur—from field sensors and meters to backend reporting systems and interfaces with customs, tax authorities, and operators.
A core area of Emir’s expertise is data integrity in custody transfer and fiscal measurement systems, where cyber vulnerabilities have direct economic and legal consequences.
This includes:
Security of metering and measurement data
Protection against manipulation of volumes, qualities, and fiscal reports
Cyber aspects of energy marking systems
Traceability and auditability of operational and fiscal data flows
This specialization makes his role particularly relevant for energy, oil depots, LNG facilities, and national marking or control programs, where cybersecurity failures directly translate into revenue leakage, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk.
Dr. Kremić holds a PhD in Computer Science, with specialization in biometric security systems, and has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in AI, digital forensics, data governance, and public-sector analytics, published by Springer, Elsevier, and the Bulletin of the World Health Organization, among others.
For over a decade, he led a regional statistical bureau in the Western Balkans, spearheading large-scale data modernization, digital governance, and public-sector transformation initiatives. He founded the International Conference on Official Statistics (ICOS), fostering international dialogue on ethical data use, transparency, and digital trust.
His background includes extensive involvement in EU integration processes, aligning technical systems with European regulatory, cybersecurity, and governance standards.
As a Non-Resident Fellow with the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) in Washington, D.C., he contributes analysis on cyber threats, digital sovereignty, and infrastructure dependencies in transitional economies. He collaborates with academic and policy institutions, including Harvard-affiliated initiatives, on policy-driven research related to cybersecurity and infrastructure resilience.
Unlike purely theoretical cybersecurity models, Emir’s approach is operator-centric and practical:
Focused on how industrial environments actually operate
Designed to work within existing infrastructure
Aimed at risk reduction without operational disruption
Supporting incremental modernization, not “rip-and-replace” solutions
Within Analytics Armor, Emir works closely with EPC contractors, technology vendors, and public authorities to ensure that cybersecurity, infrastructure design, and operational workflows are aligned from the outset, not added as an afterthought.
